The louder you refrain
The more you tell
There is little to be had
By feigning a smile
Trying to keep the peace
Has resulted in catastrophe
If there was silence
It would have been better
No one wins
In this tug-of-war
Pain for your nearest
Especially for your dearest.
It could have all been avoided.
Speak your desires
And the storm will eventually pass
Hiding from the truth
Is never wise
Everyone thinks differently
But common sense often goes amiss
Unjust accusations
Picking at the wounds
Try to rise above
The dragging of the past
Start anew from now
And learn to love thyself.
It should never happen again.
